The Pelvic Bowl of Creation

Our pelvis is the central aspect of our body – cradling our creative energy, holding our body’s wisdom, sharing the space with feminine and the masculine.

In a recent course called Beyond Break Even by @GloriousYou, we were asked to find a bowl and fill it with what we wanted to bring into our vision (at least that’s how I understood the exercise!).

Factoring in the YIN energy – the feminine, creative, the wisdom, being and listening. Holding the space in a reflective interior way.

But also recognising what I want to bring into the world. The YANG energy. Where the masculine energy takes the feminine energy and brings it into fruition in the world. The doing, action of creation.

My Pelvic Bowl is now complete…. today.  Tomorrow it may change.  And that’s OK. I will hold this is in my clinic. Connect with it daily and bring to fruition all that it represents and what I will birth into this world.

Below is some symbolism and the personal meaning of each item I have placed in this sacred bowl.

The Abalone Shell (the bowl itself)

Abalone Shells are believed to bring guidance, tranquillity, and calm emotions. A sacred symbol of the sea. So not a surprise, as a Piscean, I am drawn to the deities of Neptune and Poseidon, amongst other water-based deities.

They can help strengthen love within relationships and foster interpersonal harmony. Often used to wash away any unpleasantness and shield us from the darkness.

The Apache Nation's Tale is truly Iconic: The shell was used in ceremonies of passage from puberty to womanhood. The spiritual power of Abalone has been charged with the gift of carrying connection between generations.

The Acorn

A symbol of fertility, growth, fresh starts and potential. The acorn is a small and unassuming seed that holds within it the potential for great growth and prosperity. From the tiny acorn, a mighty oak tree can grow, reaching up towards the sky and spreading its branches far and wide.

It possesses the “oak knowledge” – or all that it needs within to create the mighty oak. The acorn teaches us about our own potential – how one acorn can grow into a massive oak and seed a whole forest.

Corn seeds

To me these represent abundance and wealth.  In a spiritual context, it is the symbol of provision and generosity, representing the natural abundance of life and the rewards of hard work and perseverance.

Dolphin

I learnt through my studies that my Soul Crystal is Emerald. Hailed as the Spiritual Healer, the dolphin is the animal totem of this precious gem. Placing the dolphin in my pelvic bowl reminds me to connect to my spiritual team and know that I am always supported.

Feather

A powerful symbol that signifies honour and a connection between human and spirit. Holding the energy of trust, strength, wisdom, power, and freedom. It is an object that is deeply revered, representing ascension and spiritual evolution to a higher plane.

For me it is a reminder that I can ruffle feathers or be at peace with things – black and white – allowing the grey of flexibility. Trusting where I am and that I have the strength to be free.

Marbles

Purely a reminder to play and enjoy the innocence of my childhood. Including the beauty of colour and fun whilst also being transparent in all that I do and who I am. What you see is what you get.

The seed with the sapphire eye

A seed is symbolic of birth, growth, courage to break through the earth and live fully.

The sapphire is symbolic of nobility, sincerity, truth, and protection. Stones of wisdom and serenity, the sapphire brings harmony and balance.

Butterfly

A symbol of transformation. For me the butterfly represents dreams and aspirations that may be floating outside of my grasp – but always in focus and attainable if I truly want it.

Vial of water with wood & gemstones

This is the reminder of the importance of nature and the beach for clearing and cleansing. The water also represents flow – to stay in flow – the wooden love heart floating on the water also represents my passion and desire to flow from the heart

A piece of wood in water – allowing flow whilst reducing or preventing stagnation and feeling stuck.

I loved this exercise. I encourage you all to connect to your pelvic bowl and allow it to hold the energy of Yin (feminine/creating/being) and YANG (masculine/actioning/doing). And connect to this daily as you bring your creations and passions into the world.
